The high-level panel will include remarks by H.E. Nandy SOME/DIALLO, Minister of Solidarity, Humanitarian Action, National Reconciliation, Gender and Family in Burkina Faso, H. E. Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Women and President of the National Council for Women in Egypt, H.E. Eugenia Roccella, Minister of Equal opportunities, Natality and Family in Italy, H.E. Richard Arbeiter, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations, Diene Keita, Deputy Director of Programme at UNFPA, Sanjay Wijesekera, Director of Programme at UNICEF, Irena Moozova, Director for Equality and Union Citizenship at the European Commission, and Serena Fiorletta representing AIDOS, the Italian Association for Women in Development.
The panel will also showcase two tech solutions presented by Bernadette Resian Loloju, CEO of the Anti-FGM Board in Kenya presenting the ‘PashaAPP’ - Mobile Appplication and Roukiatou Sedgo, 2021 FGM Hacklab Winner from Burkina Faso presenting Afriyan: and digital platform for and by FGM Survivors.
